This distinctive piece features soft honey-yellow, pale green and creamy white tones, with fibrous-looking layers and a warm rusty-orange seam running through the centre. The irregular rippled shape and naturally layered pattern give it a wonderfully organic appearance.
This calcite forms gradually in mineral-rich water, creating layers of contrasting colour and texture. This material is also sometimes sold within the crystal trade as onyx calcite or Pakistani onyx.
