A bit about them...
Based in Carlisle, Cumbria, the candle-making story began in late 2018, when brothers Aidan and Ruaridh decided to learn all they could about candle-making and business operations from online resources and tutorials.
This then led to the creation of The Victorian Candle Co, a small Carlisle based company dedicated to hand-pouring small batches of long-lasting, beautifully designed candles.
All of our candles are made with 100% soy vegan-friendly wax, cotton wicks, and recyclable tins. We encourage you to recycle your tins after burning the candle completely.
Why do we use soy wax?
We use only pure soy wax in our candles instead of other alternatives like paraffin because of the natural benefits of burning soy.
Unlike paraffin which derives from crude oil, soy is a bean that is grown sustainably and replanted after harvest which makes it a renewable source. Soy wax burns cleaner and for longer than other types of wax and can hold more fragrance, giving it a much greater scent throw.
