Across the different faces are scattered feathered and starburst-like formations, giving the stone a wonderfully rich, cosmic appearance. The darker background creates a beautiful contrast against the warmer metallic-looking inclusions, with new patterns revealed as the tower is turned in the light.
Astrophyllite is known for its distinctive bladed or radiating crystal formations, which often appear in shades of bronze, gold, copper and reddish brown within a darker host rock.
