With Two Blackpool Gang Show Souvenir Programmes
An interesting collection of vintage Scouting and theatrical memorabilia, bringing together a Gang Show vinyl album and two Blackpool souvenir programmes.
The record is a 1972 UK stereo LP on Contour, catalogue number 2870 168, featuring The Gang Show with Ralph Reader and musical accompaniment by Geoff Love. All fourteen songs are composed by Ralph Reader.
Also included:
• Blackpool & District Scout Association Gang Show 1972 souvenir programme – Grand Theatre, Church Street, Blackpool, with purple cover.
• Blackpool and District Scout Council Gang Show 1979 souvenir programme – Winter Gardens Pavilion, Blackpool, with red cover.
The programmes relate to separate Blackpool productions and are included as accompanying memorabilia.
Album tracks include On the Crest of a Wave, The Angel, Stepping Out, The One Beside You, There’s a Song in My Heart, Everybody Must Have Someone, Wings Over Seaways, You Can’t Be Wrong If You’re Right, Friends, Magic in the Air, Strollin’, Boys in Blue, Together and I Wouldn’t Change.

Condition: Pre-owned. The record sleeve shows surface rubbing, creasing, age discolouration and edge and corner wear, with a handwritten stock/price sticker on the front. A plain paper inner sleeve is included. The photographed vinyl surface has visible marks and dust.
Both programme covers show handling wear and creasing, with more pronounced rubbing and spine wear to the purple 1972 programme. Their internal pages have not been inspected for completeness.
