A beautiful and substantial Caithness Glass art glass vase, standing approximately 19cm tall and weighing approximately 760g, featuring deeply engraved dolphins and a spectacular internal colour-wave design.
The vase is formed from thick, exceptionally clear glass with an elegant rounded cylindrical shape. Three frosted engraved dolphins swim around the exterior, appearing at different depths and angles as the piece is turned.
Sweeping through the vase is a dramatic ribbon of deep cobalt blue and soft pale blue glass, rising from the base almost to the rim and creating the appearance of an ocean wave moving through the clear glass.
At the base, the colour develops into a wonderful mixture of cobalt blue, pink, lime green, white and softer pastel tones, with fine speckled and streaked details trapped within the glass. The combination of the colourful internal glasswork and frosted dolphins gives the piece a particularly striking three-dimensional appearance.
The original Caithness Glass label remains attached.
