Caithness Royal Wedding Commemorative Paperweight (1981)
Caithness is a distinguished Scottish artistic glassware manufacturer, internationally recognised for the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of its paperweights. Established in 1961, Caithness designs are often inspired by the natural colours and landscapes of Scotland.
This rare commemorative paperweight was produced to mark the marriage of The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, celebrated on 29 July 1981. The base is inscribed:
“Congratulations – The marriage of Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer – 29/7/81”
The design features elegant flowing trails of colour suspended within clear glass, surrounded by fine air bubbles that add depth, movement and sparkle, making it a striking display piece and an important royal collectible.
