The stone displays delicate woodgrain-like banding, sweeping curves and small natural swirls throughout, giving every side a completely different appearance. Its flame-shaped form showcases the layered pattern beautifully and allows it to stand securely for display.
Chocolate Calcite is a brown variety of banded calcite known for its rich earthy colouring and naturally layered appearance. It may also be described as Brown Banded Calcite or Brown Onyx Calcite within the crystal trade.
Natural cleavage lines, internal fractures, mineral inclusions and minor surface variations may be present as part of the stone’s formation.
