A vintage anthology celebrating renowned British pianist Gerald Moore and his work as accompanist to some of the twentieth century’s most distinguished classical singers.

The impressive collection features Elisabeth Schumann, Kathleen Ferrier, Isobel Baillie, Maggie Teyte, Karl Erb, Marta Fuchs, Victoria de los Angeles, Heddle Nash, Gabriella Gatti, Hans Hotter, Aksel Schiøtz, Irmgard Seefried, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Kirsten Flagstad, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Christa Ludwig.

The recordings span approximately 1937 to 1960 and include music by Haydn, Mendelssohn, Bizet, Wolf, Granados, Liszt, Verdi, Brahms, Schumann, Schubert, Mozart and Mahler.

This is the 1967 UK mono pressing on the His Master’s Voice label, catalogue number HQM 1072.

The vinyl displays light surface marks and signs of previous use. The front-laminated flipback sleeve has age-related edge and corner wear, light discolouration and an old price sticker in the upper-right corner. Includes a period EMI inner sleeve.

The record has not been play-tested and is described based on visual inspection. Please examine the photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description.
