A vintage mono vinyl compilation featuring historic recordings by the Glasgow Orpheus Choir, conducted by its founder Sir Hugh Roberton.
The Isle of Mull brings together Scottish songs, traditional airs, choral favourites and part-songs recorded by the choir between 1925 and 1949. The collection includes The Isle of Mull, The Campbells Are Comin’, Scots Wha Hae, Sea Sorrow, Gretna Green and Iona Boat Song.
Originally released by EMI on its Starline label in 1974, the album was compiled from archive recordings by Bryan Crimp.
