A collection of historic recordings by celebrated Australian operatic soprano Dame Nellie Melba, issued in the UK by Ember Records as part of its Great Voices of the Century series.
The programme includes selections from Hamlet, Roméo et Juliette, La Bohème, Faust and Le Roi d’Ys, together with Ave Maria, Home Sweet Home, Lo, Hear the Gentle Lark and other vocal pieces. The performances were originally recorded between 1904 and 1910 and transferred from early 78 RPM masters for this 1971 LP release.

The vinyl has visible light-to-moderate surface marks and hairlines. It has been visually graded VG but has not been play-tested. The laminated sleeve shows age-related edge and corner wear, creasing, surface marks and a small area of damage near the lower-right edge. Supplied with a plain paper inner sleeve.
