A wonderfully unusual decorative art glass paperweight combining a beautiful blue and white rose-like flower with a quirky apple-shaped form.
Encased within the clear glass is a large layered flower formed from soft white and pale blue glass, edged with rich cobalt blue that beautifully defines the individual petals. Beneath the bloom are vivid green leaves and slender green stems, creating a striking contrast against the delicate blue and white flower.
What makes this piece particularly unusual is its shape. Rather than a conventional rounded paperweight, the clear glass body is topped with a curved glass stem, giving the whole piece the appearance of an apple containing a flower within it.
From different angles the thick clear glass magnifies the layered petals and leaves, revealing considerably more depth within the design.
