A wonderfully colourful Italian art glass bud vase, made using traditional Murano-style glassworking techniques and retaining its original Made in Italy label.

Standing approximately 13.5cm tall and weighing approximately 230g, this individual vase has a rounded body which narrows through the neck before opening into a beautifully flared and gently waved rim.

The glass is packed with vivid colour, including cobalt blue, bright red, orange, yellow and green, set against clear and milky white glass.

Across the lower body are numerous small multicoloured glass pieces and circular cane details, while higher sections have been drawn upwards into long flowing streaks of colour. These continue through the neck and fan outward towards the rim, producing a particularly lively, almost painterly appearance.

The original label reads “Vetro eseguito secondo la tecnica dei maestri di Murano – Made in Italy”, indicating Italian glass produced using techniques associated with Murano glassmaking.
