A striking natural Hematoid Quartz, also commonly known as Fire Quartz, featuring clear to translucent quartz with rich red-brown hematite and iron oxide inclusions.
This individual specimen has an unusual combination of glassy crystal surfaces, rusty red mineral inclusions and coatings, together with areas of fine sparkling druzy crystallisation. Some sections remain beautifully transparent, allowing the reddish inclusions and internal structure of the quartz to be seen beneath the surface.
The contrasting clear, smoky and deep iron-red colouring gives this small specimen plenty of character from every angle.
