Lapis Lazuli Egg – Egg #45
A beautiful polished Lapis Lazuli egg featuring deep navy and royal-blue colouring, contrasted by natural creamy-white calcite and subtle golden pyrite flecks.
One side displays a rich expanse of darker blue, while the reverse reveals more of the pale calcite matrix, giving the egg two wonderfully different appearances. Fine mineral veins and scattered metallic details add depth throughout the smooth polished surface.
Lapis Lazuli is a naturally occurring rock composed primarily of blue lazurite, together with varying amounts of white calcite and golden pyrite. These natural minerals create the dramatic variations in colour and pattern seen within every piece.
Please note that the photographs include images taken both with and without flash. The flash highlights the brighter royal and cobalt-blue tones, while in ordinary lighting the egg appears deeper and more navy in colour.
Natural mineral veins, internal lines, inclusions and minor surface variations may be present as part of the stone’s formation.
