A substantial Bloodstone-style Chalcedony tower featuring deep forest-green, smoky grey, burgundy and earthy red natural colouring.
Broad rust-red and dark green mineral areas flow through the polished stone, accompanied by cloudy markings, subtle translucency and small blue-green inclusions. The colours appear muted in ordinary light but reveal greater depth and variation beneath brighter illumination.
This piece has been identified by appearance as Bloodstone-style Chalcedony, also associated with the name Heliotrope. Traditional Bloodstone usually displays red iron-rich markings within dark green chalcedony, although the balance and distribution of colour can vary considerably. As this example contains unusually broad red areas, the identification has been worded conservatively.
Bloodstone is traditionally associated with courage, resilience, grounding and renewed motivation.
