Large Galena with Chlorite Mineral Specimen – 2.306kg

An impressive natural cabinet-sized mineral specimen featuring numerous metallic Galena crystals across a rugged greenish-grey, chlorite-rich matrix.

The Galena appears in lead-grey, blocky formations with reflective metallic faces, ranging from smaller embedded crystals to larger prominent sections rising above the matrix. Between them are areas of pale crystalline growth, slender mineral formations and earthy green-grey coatings, creating a wonderfully complex miniature landscape.

Galena is a naturally occurring lead sulphide mineral known for its metallic lustre, cubic crystal structure and exceptional density. Chlorite refers to a group of green-toned minerals that commonly form coatings, inclusions and matrix material alongside other minerals.

Additional pale crystalline material is visible throughout the specimen but has not been assigned a more specific identification without confirmed locality or laboratory testing.

This is a completely natural mineral specimen and includes rough matrix, irregular edges, contact areas, mineral deposits, natural fractures and variations in crystal condition. Small loose fragments may occasionally occur, so please handle and move the piece carefully.

Important care information: Galena contains lead. Wash hands after handling and keep away from children, pets, food preparation areas and water. Avoid creating dust, licking, soaking or using the specimen in crystal elixirs.

Weight: Approximately 2.306kg

Please note: Crystal identification is based on visual assessment and supplier information where available. Natural variations and inclusions are part of what makes each piece unique.
