A respected collection of classical trumpet concertos performed by British trumpeter John Wilbraham with the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields, directed by Neville Marriner.
The programme features Johann Nepomuk Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto in E Major, Johann Georg Albrechtsberger’s Concerto a Cinque in E-flat Major and Leopold Mozart’s Trumpet Concerto in D Major. Andrew Davis provides the harpsichord continuo.
Recorded at Kingsway Hall in London and issued in the UK by Argo in 1971, this is the original stereo LP edition with the green Argo labels and catalogue number ZRG 669.
The vinyl displays visible light surface marks and hairlines consistent with previous use. It has been visually graded VG but has not been play-tested.
The laminated sleeve shows age-related edge and corner wear, surface marks, laminate creasing and some general discolouration. An old handwritten price sticker remains on the upper-right corner of the reverse. The sleeve has been graded VG.
Supplied with a period Decca paper inner sleeve, which shows age-related discolouration and handling wear.
