Released by EMI in 1973, The Dicky Bird and the Owl presents thirteen sentimental, dramatic and occasionally humorous period songs. Highlights include The Dicky Bird and the Owl, The Trumpeter, Tom Bowling, Come into the Garden, Maud, The Death of Nelson and The Gendarmes’ Duet.
The recording is housed in its original front-laminated gatefold sleeve, which opens to reveal extensive illustrated notes about the performers and the history of the featured songs.
The vinyl has visible light surface marks and hairlines consistent with previous use and is visually graded VG. It has not been play-tested.
The gatefold sleeve is graded VG, with general edge and corner wear, light surface marks, minor age-related discolouration and an old price sticker on the front. The interior notes and photographs remain clean and clearly legible. Includes a paper inner sleeve with some age-related wear and marking.
