Sviatoslav Richter – Plays Chopin & Debussy
A vintage UK issue of Sviatoslav Richter’s celebrated solo piano recordings of works by Frédéric Chopin and Claude Debussy.
Issued by Deutsche Grammophon as part of its Privilege Series, catalogue number 135 044. This is the 1970 UK issue of the original 1963 stereo LP, featuring a German-manufactured yellow Deutsche Grammophon “tulip” label record in a UK front-laminated picture sleeve.
The Chopin side includes the Polonaise-Fantaisie, two études and Ballade No. 3. The Debussy side contains the complete Estampes and three selected preludes.
Vinyl: VG. Visually graded and untested. The record retains a good gloss but displays some visible light marks, hairlines and surface dust.
Sleeve: VG-. The front-laminated sleeve displays noticeable laminate creasing, surface marks, rubbing and general edge and corner wear. There is further age-related discolouration and marking to the rear. Please inspect the photographs carefully.
Includes a plain paper inner sleeve showing some age-related wear.
