A beautiful decorative art glass paperweight featuring a wonderfully detailed purple flower suspended within clear glass.
The flower is formed from sweeping layers of soft lilac, dusky pink and deep plum glass, with finely drawn darker edges creating remarkable definition throughout the individual petals. The layered construction gives the bloom a wonderful three-dimensional appearance, changing considerably as the paperweight is viewed from different angles.
Beneath the flower are vivid green leaves and a slender green stem, providing a striking contrast against the delicate purple tones above. Encased within a substantial clear glass dome, the design is magnified beautifully from different viewpoints.
