This unpolished piece displays beautiful natural labradorescence, producing vivid flashes of electric blue and turquoise across sections of the exposed mineral surface when viewed from the correct angle.
In ordinary light Labradorite typically appears grey, charcoal or grey-green, but movement and changing light reveal the striking iridescent optical effect for which the mineral is famous.
This specimen has been left in its natural rough state rather than polished, allowing its original mineral structure, cleavage surfaces and matrix to remain visible.
