A natural rough Black Tourmaline (Schorl) mineral specimen weighing approximately 31g, displaying the distinctive deep black colour and strongly striated crystal surfaces characteristic of tourmaline.

Several sides reveal pronounced parallel vertical grooves running along the crystal faces, while the reverse retains a more rugged natural formation with areas of intergrown crystalline material and small pale matrix deposits.

Rather than being polished or shaped, this specimen has been left in its natural rough form, allowing the structure and characteristic crystal growth of the mineral to remain clearly visible.

Black Tourmaline is the common name generally used for Schorl, the iron-rich and most abundant member of the tourmaline mineral group.
