Celestite is a naturally occurring strontium sulphate mineral, particularly prized by collectors for its soft blue colouring and attractive crystalline formations. This specimen features a mixture of translucent blue areas, pearly to glassy surfaces and delicate bladed and layered crystal structures.
The combination of frosty white matrix and subtle aqua-blue mineral gives this small specimen a wonderfully icy appearance, with different crystalline textures becoming visible as it is turned in the light.
