A genuine fossilised Micraster, an extinct heart urchin (echinoid) that lived on the seabed during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 70 to 90 million years ago.
Micraster fossils are among the most recognisable fossil sea urchins, with their distinctive heart-shaped form and patterned surface. This natural specimen has been preserved within its original matrix and displays many of the characteristic features that make these ancient marine fossils so popular with collectors.
