An attractive natural Fuchsite-rich mica schist specimen, weighing approximately 50g.

This unusual rough specimen displays rich green mineralisation throughout, combined with abundant silvery reflective mica that gives the surface a striking sparkling appearance when moved in the light. Cream-coloured areas and natural rusty orange/brown iron staining create additional contrast across the specimen.

Fuchsite is a chromium-bearing green variety of muscovite mica and characteristically forms in thin, reflective flakes. This specimen has a particularly obvious layered, flaky and micaceous texture, which can be seen around its edges as well as across the broad faces.

Weight: Approx. 50g
Identification: Fuchsite-rich mica schist
Colour: Green, silver/white, cream and rusty orange-brown
Form: Natural rough specimen
Texture: Layered, micaceous and flaky

Please note that mica-rich specimens are naturally delicate and may shed small flakes or particles when handled. This is characteristic of the mineral rather than necessarily being damage.

You will receive the exact specimen pictured.
