A striking natural rough Sodalite specimen, weighing approximately 14g.
This small but beautifully coloured piece displays the characteristic rich blue tones associated with sodalite, ranging from medium denim blue through to areas of deep royal and navy blue. Natural white to pale grey veining and mottling runs throughout the specimen, most likely from associated calcite.
Several freshly exposed surfaces reveal particularly intense blue colouring, giving the piece plenty of visual interest despite its compact size.
Left in its natural rough form, this would make a lovely addition to a mineral collection, crystal display or educational geological collection.
