A striking natural Sphalerite with Druzy Quartz sphere, weighing approximately 315g, featuring an unusually large open crystal cavity and extensive sparkling druzy formation.
This individual sphere has a predominantly creamy white and pale grey appearance, with soft tan, honey and darker brown mineral markings running through the polished surface. One side opens into a substantial natural cavity lined with fine sparkling crystals, creating a dramatic geode-like formation with impressive depth.
Smaller crystal pockets, openings and rough crystalline areas appear around the rest of the sphere, contrasting beautifully with the smoother polished sections. The pale grey druzy areas within the main cavity catch the light especially well and give the piece a wonderfully frosted, cavernous appearance.
Because of the size and shape of the main opening, this sphere looks very different depending on the angle from which it is displayed.
