A beautiful Teign Valley Glass (TVG) art glass paperweight, clearly marked TVG England within the piece.
This striking spherical paperweight features sweeping white glass ribbons twisting through the clear body, creating a wonderfully fluid, almost wave-like design. Around the lower section are subtle blue-green tones accompanied by numerous tiny suspended bubbles, adding texture and depth throughout the glass.
The design becomes particularly intricate towards the top, where the white ribbons curl and overlap in a dramatic swirling formation. From different angles the clear glass magnifies the internal decoration, revealing new layers of bubbles, colour and movement.
Teign Valley Glass was established in 1981 in Bovey Tracey, Devon, and became known for its decorative art glass, including paperweights, marbles, vases and scent bottles. Museum of American Glass
