An unusual polished Yooperlite star carving, weighing approximately 24g, featuring a striking six-pointed design with a detailed central eye motif.
In ordinary light, the stone displays a naturally mottled mixture of grey, charcoal black, creamy white and warm brown mineral tones, with contrasting inclusions scattered throughout the surface.
The carving has been shaped into a bold six-pointed star, with layered geometric lines surrounding an engraved central eye. The combination of the symmetrical design and naturally varied mineral pattern gives this individual piece plenty of character.
Under suitable UV light, sodalite-rich areas within the Yooperlite can fluoresce a vivid orange, revealing bright reactive patches hidden within the otherwise muted grey stone.
