An unusual polished Yooperlite spider and web carving, weighing approximately 20g, featuring a detailed raised spider surrounded by an engraved web design.
In ordinary light, the stone displays a naturally mottled mixture of grey, charcoal black, creamy white and warm brown mineral tones, creating a wonderfully varied granite-like appearance.
The front has been intricately carved with a large central spider, complete with sculpted body and legs, set against a deeply engraved spider web. The natural markings within the stone run directly through the carving, making this individual piece completely unique.
Under suitable UV light, sodalite-rich areas within the Yooperlite can fluoresce a vivid orange, transforming the otherwise subdued grey stone and revealing hidden reactive sections.
