A striking vintage amber art glass pedestal bowl / compote, featuring rich golden-brown colouring and characteristic bubbles and irregularities throughout the hand-worked glass.
The substantial rounded bowl is raised on a short pedestal stem with a circular foot, creating a classic mid-century Scandinavian-style form.
The piece was catalogued at auction as Erik Hoglund for Kosta Boda style and displays many of the features associated with vintage Scandinavian bubble glass. No maker's signature has been identified, however, so it is being sold as Erik Hoglund / Kosta Boda style rather than definitively attributed.
