A striking vintage Selkirk Glass “Triton” paperweight, handcrafted in Scotland and dated 1988.
This substantial studio art glass paperweight features a wonderfully sculptural abstract design, with rich ruby-red glass surrounding the lower section, textured golden detail and dramatic looping clear and smoky glass forms rising through the centre.
The intricate internal decoration gives the piece a strong underwater or marine-inspired appearance and reveals different shapes and reflections as it is viewed from different angles.
The polished base is hand-etched with Selkirk Glass, Scotland, Triton and 1988.
