A striking vintage studio art glass paperweight, weighing approximately 500g, with an elaborate abstract internal design in vivid pink, cobalt blue and white.
This substantial rounded paperweight contains a dramatic sculptural pink glass formation rising through the upper section, with pointed and feathered edges that give it an almost floral, shell-like or sea-creature appearance.
Beneath it, a broad layer of finely textured white glass sweeps across the interior, cascading down through the design against rich cobalt-blue glass below.
Deep within the base are flowing ribbons of blue, pink and purple-toned glass, together with tiny trapped bubbles and finely speckled areas that add considerable depth and movement.
The design changes dramatically as the paperweight is turned, with some angles emphasising the bright pink central formation while others reveal the blue and white layers beneath.
The underside has a frosted polished base. No maker's signature or identifying inscription is visible, so the piece is being sold as an unattributed vintage studio art glass paperweight rather than assigned to a particular glassworks.
