Vintage Swatch Chandelier GZ125 1992 Christmas Special Wooden Box Limited #4
A fantastic and highly collectable vintage Swatch “Chandelier” wristwatch, reference GZ125, released as the 1992 Christmas Special.
Designed by Matteo Thun, Chandelier was produced as a limited edition of 49,999 pieces worldwide and is one of the more elaborate Swatch special presentation sets of the early 1990s.
The watch features a transparent Swatch case and translucent strap with a minimalist metallic silver dial. Around either side of the case are distinctive decorative clusters of deep blue and red beads with clear teardrop-shaped drops, creating the chandelier-inspired design.
This example is particularly appealing because it retains its remarkable original presentation set, comprising the large wooden Swatch CHANDELIER box, moulded clear sculptural display, original wood-shaving packing material and original newspaper-style Swatch warranty/instruction sheet.
The clear moulded display features raised Swatch lettering and was designed specifically to hold and present the watch within the wooden crate-style box.
An especially nice collector detail is the number 46281, which appears both on the watch movement and on the original box label marked:

Condition:
Good vintage condition overall with age-related signs of storage and previous handling.
The watch remains complete and displays very well. There are visible surface scratches and marks to the crystal and transparent case, together with some marks and age-related discolouration to the original translucent strap.
The decorative bead and teardrop embellishments remain present as photographed.
The large clear moulded presentation display remains attractive with some light surface marks consistent with age.
The original wooden box shows expected age and storage wear, while the original newspaper-style paperwork has creasing, tears and general ageing.
The original packing material is also retained.
The watch is currently untested and is therefore sold as untested. No guarantee can be made regarding current operation unless otherwise stated.
Due to the age of the watch, no guarantee of present-day water resistance is made.
Vintage Swatch plastic straps and components can become more fragile with age and should be handled carefully.
