Vintage Maltese Art Glass Aladdin Lamp Trinket Dish Mdina Style Blue Green #24
A beautiful vintage studio art glass dish formed in the shape of a traditional Aladdin or Roman-style oil lamp.
The piece has an unusual sculptural form with a pointed end and curled glass handle, surrounding a deep central dish. Rich blue glass runs through the centre with green, turquoise and subtle yellow tones encased within clear glass.
The colours and freeform construction are strongly reminiscent of vintage Maltese studio glass, including designs associated with Mdina Glass. This example appears to be unsigned, so it is being sold as Mdina style / Maltese style art glass rather than definitively attributed to Mdina.
